One Way Communication Systems
Perfect for instructors and students! All of these systems
offer instructor to rider professional quality communication. These are compact, durable high quality systems with excellent
audio performance to over 300 feet, all without pushing a button! All systems include a transmitter for the instructor and
receiver for the student. Our Eponaire systems include a PA option.
Note-About channels and interference.
All comunnication systems work on frequncies, each one way system has a set of channels within a frequncy range. Both
rider and instructor must be on the same channel in order to communicate. And if another rider/instructor is on the same channel
as you are you will have interference (you will hear someone else's instruction) if you are working in the same 300
ft. area. However, the Eponaire One way will only interfere with other Eponaire One Way systems, the Eponaire/Azden
LX Pro will only interfere with other LX Pro systems, the Comtek with other Comteks, the Eartec with other Eartecs, etc.,
since all work on different frequncies. With the exception of the Eponaire One Way which has two channels, there are more
than enough channels available in all of the other systems to totally eliminate the probability of interference, you
will just have to take the time during your ride to change your channels.
You also need to consider where you will be using your radios when deciding on a system, channel interference may
never be a problem if you do not live or compete regularly in the heavily competitive Dressage events in S. California, the
East Coast or S. Florida. At the very large competitions most riders have one system or another so that's where
you may find an issue in the warmup rings.
Two way radios have multiple channels as well, and work on other frequencies than the one way systems, and have
a much longer range. You may encounter interference from business radios used in the areas, non equestrians using the
radios for recreational use, etc., again changing the channels will eliminate the interference. Please note: These radios
are best used when long distance communication is the determining factor in your buying deceision.
Eponaire One Way with PA Option
Already a favorite with our customers, and a personal
favorite of ours!!
This is a very high quality yet economical
system that can easily be converted to a PA with the addition of an amplified speaker (purchased separately) and has audio
quality comparable to systems more than double its price. It is also the smallest/most compact of all
of the systems we offer.
The transmitter comes with a clip on lapel
mic, (a headset option is available for an additional $25). The receiver includes an earphone with an acoustic tube. These
eartubes are replaceable, and also can also be purchased separately for each student for $8 per. The volume
control is handily located on the earphone. Works on 9 Volt batteries which generally have a lifespan of up to 40 (18-20
hours typical) and has two channels to help prevent interference from other systems.

mic, receiver with an OTTO acoustic tube earphone, adapter cable for PA option, a holster case for vertical or horizontal
belt placement, and a hard carrying case. Two year warranty.

Eponaire One Way Pro
The perfect set for the professional!
This system includes all of the components of the Eponaire One Way
with the addition of a headset with mic for outdoor use, and 5 additional acoustic tubes.

Eponaire Pro LT
A compact Azden system also with excellent audio
quality. With 95 channels to chose from, any interference is eliminated. The transmitter and receiver have a durable
metal housing and an interior volume control. The receiver has a small but moveable and flexible antenna. This unit is also
easily converted to a PA system with the included cable and adaptors, all you need to add is an amplified speaker!
Includes a transmitter with a lapel mic, receiver with an
OTTO earphone with acoustic tube, an adapter cable for PA use, a secure nylon holder for the receiver with optional
horizontal or vertical belt placement, a nylon soft case and a hard carrying case for travel. Two year warranty.

Comtek ALS-216 Package
Finally, a wireless system that allows the instructor
or trainer to communicate with crystal clear sound clarity. The COMTEK Wireless Listening System is a one-way communication
system offering perfect speech clarity over distances as far away as 300 feet. A solution for overcoming the difficult
listening challenges of distance between instructor and student. Its rugged construction ensures long lasting durability in
the most demanding environments.
Easy to use, the trainer or instructor wears a
personal transmitter and microphone and the student wears a personal receiver and earpiece. The transmitter and receiver operate
with either a 9 volt alkaline battery for up to 40 hours of operation, or a rechargeable NiMH battery with
charger (sold separately). Includes transmitter with a lapel clip on mic with windscreen, receiver with
Sony earphones, and a hard carrying case. One year warranty.
Originally developed for use by the movie industry,
this system is used by top trainers such as Steffen Peters. A must have for the busy instructor.

Two Way Radio Systems
Please note- Two way radios are usually NOT the
ideal system to choose for arena work. VOX, or voice activation, is somewhat frustrating to use at times and some of
your words will drop out during communication. Please choose this type of system only if you need long distance (as in a mile
or more) communication. If you need hands free two way communication for arena work our suggestion would be for you
to select the Eartec Simultalk.
For our two way radio communication packages, we've
combined top quality, Uniden and Kenwood consumer and commercial grade two-way radios with OTTO professional headsets already
popular with police mounted patrols! These headsets are not readily available to consumers. They provide superior audio quality
and fit very comfortably under a helmet.
Both of our systems allow for clear, comfortable, two way, long distance
conversation while riding or working around the barn -- wherever you need to communicate.
We pre charge your batteries,
install privacy codes and will custom set your radios to your liking; you may prefer them in push to talk or hands free VOX

These radios operate on FRS or family channels. Out of all of
the radios we have tested in this price range we believe these to have the best audio quality. These radios
work their best in push to talk mode. Although they are VOX capable, do not expect consistent, two way
,hands free communications from them! These radios are best for trail riding or barn to barn communication.
