The Iron Spring Farm program has produced a total of 9 Approved Sons of which 4 are home bred, 4 Preferent mares, 39 Keur mares, 178 Star mares, 405 Stud Book mares and 260 First Premium foals to date. ISF has set high standards and has developed an environment for the success of the warmblood breeding industry in America, contributing to the overall success and growth of the country's strength in international equestrian sports. ISF is now incorporating the Astride in it's conditioning and breaking/training program for their young horses.
Robert Croteau's homebred yearling, Zipcode AF, (by Contango) won his yearling class at the NAWPN Kuering at ISF, was second at Dressage at Devon in the Yearling Colt and Gelding class with a score of 82%, and was the 2nd ranked yearling in the USA by the NAWPN.
Robert attributes the overall fitness and top condition of Zipcode to a careful weight training program incorporating the Astride.
"I liked the concept, and after using it on my own horses, I began using it on the Iron Spring horses." Now the Astride is used as part of the farm's established training and conditioning protocols.

Robert O. Mayer Riding Academy

"Doing the ground training while gradually putting more and more weight on the saddle brings a gradual step up to a rider's weight. Horses can now, at their own speed, develop the muscles needed until they can carry a rider without losing their balance in between."
Robert O. Mayer

Robert has the distinction of holding teaching licenses from both the British Horse Society and the German Federation Nationale.

Jean Lamb, DVM

Jane Lamb was the former resident veterinarian for over 12 years at Lanes End Farm, and now breeds Cal-breds for the select yearling sales.

"When I first read about the Astride I thought it made a lot of sense... I was so happy with it that now I'll be using it on every yearling I sell. It adds a lot of muscular development, especially in the hindquarters."
Jean Lamb,DVM

Rolling Oaks Farm

"I recently used the Astride on a horse whose brother's are known to bolt off with the first shift of weight. His brother actually put me in the hospital about four years ago when he bolted with me the first time I backed him. The horse I am currently working with bolted off with the Astride(about 60 lbs.) then got over it. Since then he has been an absolute joy to work with, your product really helps us with the difficult ones."
Kelly Shetter, trainer

A product like this lets us work with the horse in a round pen or pony them and help build their strength. It lets us graduate from the Astride to an actual rider."
